Introduction Jurskis et al. (1997) trapped smoky mice, Pseudomys fumeus, during spring on exposed rocky slopes with low densities of ground cover and shrubs, but not in dense heath. They also trapped smoky mice in a nearby logged and burnt area that was not rocky and exposed.
